 Your voice sounded distant today 

when you called me on the phone 

you said we needed to talk face to face 

so I waited till you got home 

  

you said something then 

and that's right about when 

 it's like somebody turned out the lights 

cos I didn't hear you right

my eyes watched your lips move 

my ears tried to hear you 

but my mind's not believin'

but something's been missin' these days
